Powder coating is a durable paint finish used extensively to provide decorative protection on various substrates. It is suitable for both exterior and interior uses.
Powder is available in BS and RAL colours in a variety of gloss levels, smooth and textured.
Powder coating can give special qualities to a piece of metal, including anti-bacterial, anti-graffiti and anti-corrosion.
Electrostatically charged powder particles are applied to earthed components which are then heated in a curing oven. The particles of resin and pigment melt to encase the part. The result is a high quality, long lasting protective coating.
Some jobs specify paint systems for particular environments and conditions, others require additional properties, e.g. a non-slip finish.
Our wet spray facility compliments the powder coating business so we can provide a "one-stop-shop" for all our customer's finishing requirements.
Basically if it can fit into our booth or oven, we can coat it!
(Booth size: 7m x 4m x 2m; Oven size: 4m x 2m x 2m).
There are some restrictions with larger items: we need to be able to support and move the structure during processing.
At the other end of the scale we have a variety of jigs which can accommodate very small components.
We generally work with RAL or BS colour codes which give a huge range. However specific colours can usually by matched.
Added to this are primers, various textures, leatherettes, antique effects, transparent lacquers and more.
